There an artical in LSJ.com about the new hotels and restaurant opening soon. Is Lansing ready for a $125 steak! The hotels look nice and now I understand that they are marketing one for extended stays, and one for more first-class business traveler…

Thanks I see that was the plan now.

On my walk today I was surprised to find Farm Lane all repaved with new lane markings leading up to the old bridge which is open for traffic. I guess this project is happening in phases. I was up the street so I did not see if the pedestrian bridge …

The first thing I noticed on this site was they cut down all the trees. Many of them were healthy and quite old. I am hoping the city develops a plan to make this area more pedestrian friendly. There sould be walkways to Old Town and Downtown perhap…

Crews seem to have finished underground utility work on Farm Lane and were paving the street. I wonder if the plan is to renovate the current bridge structure or replace it. Also, they were pouring cement for the new walkways to the pedestrian bridg…

The water feature in front of the restaurant has been working for a while, it looks really cool. They may have turned the area off to connect it to the rest of the water works in the middle of Michigan Ave... I have been using the drive behind the …

I think this looks pretty cool and very different than the recent developments. Which is great progress in my opinion. I think these projects will spur others. Making downtown a beautiful place where people work and live will help to create an "urba…

I read today via the MSN/LSJ online news feed, that the Mayor and developers are going to make a major announcement on the 8th of August about developments that "will transform the skyline of Lansing" with 450 housing units, retail, office, and gree…

The complete span for the pedestrian bridge at Farm Lane is sitting on the old bridge ready to be installed. It looks nice but it will have much higher side rails/walls, in other words it looks much larger than the other pedestrian bridges, it will …

This administration seems to have little imagination or taste when it comes to this plan. This reminds me of the State's "secondary complex" when the State moved a bunch of departments out to the unremarkable buildings out in the -brubs. Lansing in …

Thanks for all the information, I wonder if repaving the rest of E Michigan is planned as part of the Red Cedar project. It looks like this project will end at Clippert St.

There is an artical about the reconfiguration of East Michigan Ave in the weeks City Pulse. I would like to see a better depiction of the plan; it was hard to get excited about the project with the basic drawing they published. Wider sidewalks and m…

These are great looking structures. I am excited to think that Lansing will have beautiful and healthy waters flowing down the Red Cedar. The crews have been installing the Michigan Avenue water features in front of the new hotels, as well as trees …

I went over to Frances Park to check out the Rose Garden, I found it blocked off for construction. They have replaced some of the sidewalks, adding a sidewalk right through the middle of the garden which was a grass path:{, and put up a new pergola.…

Thank you, for the pictures, much easier than trying to catch a glimpse of the sites from the car. The Stadium North project seems to be going up very quickly. I had not been that way in a while, it is kind of surprising. At Ranny Park I seem to rem…

The city broke ground on the new entertainment center downtown today. There was a depiction of the center in the online LSJ by Intrigue Studios! [as they do] kind of busy but interesting. I noticed they are calling the Hillsdale part of the new hous…

I read in today's City Pulse an artical which included a description of the new "Student Wellness Center" [kind of a lame title] that included a swimming pool. It is great that so many people have donated to the sports facilities, I think a new swim…

That is good news. When I think of the other sports facilities on campus it seems odd that a new pool would be such a great expense that they have to look for outside funding. I don't know for sure but did any of the newer facilities need to get don…

It is also free to park on Sundays in any EL ramp. A lot of people will just sit and wait for a ticket while the gate is open right in front of them. They could promote the Sunday free parking better; most people don't know about it.

At Ranny Park the crews have planted many more trees and started laying out the paths also creating small hills and valleys around the large hills and the new ponds. There is a large cement structure of some type being built, [ so far, a large wall]…
