     Market Place, along with Ball Park  North is part of a duo of projects proposed by Pat Gillespie. Market Place will occupy the land southwest of Shiawassee & Cedar, down to Museum Dr, this will include razing the current City Market. The development is to include two to four floor buildings. The two floor buildings, on the east half of the site will include underground parking with ground floor retail and upstairs residential. The four floor buildings will include four floors of residential over underground parking. There will also be a new indoor/outdoor city market of 9,000-16,000 sq ft, it will be built by Gillespie and donated to the City.
