Yeah, that's what it looks like. With property values decreasing now as they are, maybe developers will be smart and start buying up properties quietly and holding on to them until the market gets better and then decide to develop or sell.
I'll have to get some good photos of Phase II of Printers Row, downtown. That's coming along nicely, and looks just as good as the first phase. It's a perfect example of what I want to see on these smaller neighborhood lots in Lansing.
I'm not completely sure, but, I believe the second phase of On The Grand condominium townhomes are now complete in Old Town. There is no news on when Phase III will begin, but they will line the north side of the property along Dodge River Drive just southeast of the Turner-Dodge Mansion.
Just FYI, I noticed a model of what looked like a quite tall building in Studio Intrigue's fron display window driving by today, it was hard to see from the road, it is small and all white. At some point i'm going try to get a closer look at it. Since most of their projects up until now have been in the Lansing area, maybe the building in the model will be too.
It looks like Tom's Antique Store in Old Town is going to be entirely reconstructed. That's what I heard of City Council, tonight. It have three storefronts, and a new facade.
I don't know how successful this will be. I give them all the support that they can get for trying this out, but I am not sure who would want to spend 60 grand and up for a hotel room.
I do (it seems like that's all they are building out in Vegas, these days), but certainly not in this location, and probably not even anywhere in Metro Lansing.
